Market Manby e301Comment by agenkin: Nice portrait. I like this shot for everything except the composition. The eye enters the frame on the left, and then sees the main subject's face immediately, but then has nothing else of interest to see. Perhaps flipping it horizontally would produce a more appealing shot. |

Market Manby e301Comment by w24x192: Ok, this should be the winner. It is flat-out interesting. I love the dark tonality, but at the same time, you haven't lost anything with the dark. The man is singled out in many ways: he's the only one in focus, he's closest to the camera, he's not looking in the same direction as everyone else, he's the only one with a hat, etc, etc. I don't know enough about phototizery to be able to give you a better critique, so I'll wish you luck in the challenge instead. |

Happy Hour ?by e301Comment by Tammer: I can almost feel the weariness of the man holding the sign compared with the hustle and bustle of the street behind him. I like it. The use of black and white works well. Good luck in the challenge. |

Happy Hour ?by e301Comment by posthumous: I like how you've captured when and where without the what. We're left to guess at what by examining the person holding the sign. This is the difference between art and wordplay. One of my faves. |

Market Manby e301Comment by amber: So many great B&Ws in this challenge! A lovely face full of a history of pleasure and pain. The women behind create a lovely diagonal helping to move the viewer's eye across the image. They almost look like they are at church kneeling at a pew! He looks as if they are looking for him and he's wondering which way to run:))10 |
