Finch family, for sure. Seems to match the foliage. I see that birds like to "hide" in leaves/flowers of similar color. It's a camouflage thing.

I always appreciate the sharp focus on the head with slight motion blur in the wings. It really communicates flying motion to me... in a very pleasant way.

I enjoyed reading about these birds. 1st and/or 2nd winter. Our eagles develop mature coloration in a similar manner... 3rd year.
