I like the perspective, the line leading to the water, and that one little sailboat out there. For this challenge I think I'd crop out the gulls to keep the viewer's eye on that line, bump up the contrast some, and convert to straight black and white (it's close now and I don't think the brown tones in the road add anything).

Pretty obscure. It wasn't until the 2nd time around I saw the blurry cat? on the left side. Hard to make out what was happening here and honestly, doesn't really fit a crime scene per say.
