Portrait with Single Lightby EducatedSavageComment by shutterpuppy: like the strong side lighting; not sure if what i'm seeing is a post processing effect, or just a bit of camera shake, but the effect detracts from the image; the way the shadow cuts off her lips so that they turn down in the middle is very unflattering |

In The Distance...by EducatedSavageComment by tnun: The subtlety in this apparently simple picture, like unto a Japanese print, is that it is NOT flat at all. To paraphrase  posthumousfrom somewhere else, you have to took and look and not quite see. |

Out to Pasture?by EducatedSavageComment by travis_cooper: I really like the boots, but I don't like the background, they really take away from the picture. My eye keeps going to the different colored slats, rather that the boots. Get a different background and I think this is a better shot. |

I think that's what I like about it -- it reminds me of one I considered entering myself, though I ended up in the other challenge. I like the soothing blue shades ... |
