"They Wanna Know Who Peed in the Pool?" by MelonMusketeerComment by phase3: Imagine getting grabbed by one of those guys. The rest of them would have a feeding frenzy at your expense. Man would death be ugly and agonizing.
:)
I think putting one of those sissy fences between you and them is not such a bad idea.

Kissy Kissy 3by MelonMusketeerComment by phase3: I enjoy taking closeup photo's of gators too. At times I need to be reminded that once they get you in their mouth you will not get his jaws open without the help of 8 other men. When he starts into his instinctive death roll body parts are going to be torn from their original places. After reading that an athletic man can run approx 14 miles per hour and an athletic gator can run in excess of 25 MPH for short distances, I decided it was a much safer bet to use my telephoto lens from a distance instead of testing fate up close and personal. It only takes once.

Reddyby MelonMusketeerComment by MaryO: A Red-bellied Woodpecker! Whenever I see these guys I wonder who in the world thought that was the best name for a bird with a red hood? I love his pose, contemplating exactly where and how hard to hit the tree with his beak ;-) |
