IMO your focus is off and as a result the DoF doesn't work well.

A nice idea - glass is soooo difficult to shoot!

Not a bad idea. With a sharper image and maybe some of the like colors grouped together and a cluster of brighter colors in a different area, I would find more overall interest in your photograph.

3/2..3 - Appears to be a nice looking dog, assuming this tight crop was intentional, less blur/better focus, either lighting variation or an edit of the 'flash eyes' would make this better. In my opinion, much farther out to show the features of this dog would have made a better 'Pet Portrait'. Overall, this looks 'snapshottish'.
