I can see what you mean, but I didn't use any sharpening :)
Looking on the original Tiff it isn't apparent, I think it's an artefact from downsizing for the web :)

Hi Monica, it's just a sheet of white MDF/formica type thing - from the back panel of a kitchen cupboard. I use light from a window on one side and a silver reflector on the other.
