C1 Eclipseby sunflowerComment by irae: Nicely composed. Shame the plane wasn\'t cleaner.
Edited on 5/6/03 in response to:
\Well Erik as you know, the reality of the world is that there will always be
airplanes that need to be cleaned, electrical wires between transformers in our
landscapes, and other imperfections that crop up in our photographic
undertakings. The perfection of the world is that it is imperfect I guess. How\'s
that for a little zen?
Margo"
Ok then... it's perfect.

C1 Eclipseby sunflowerComment by eloise: The image, as cropped, doesn't do much for me (though the clouds behind it are really pretty). It's so tight in that I can't quite see what's going on, the story, the point? |

C1 Eclipseby sunflowerComment by frisca: great angle on the plane. looks like you captured the wing or something there at the bottom left -- its a bit distracting to me.. if you cropped it out I don't think it would have affected your composition significantly. :) |

Black Butteby sunflowerComment by sunflower: Do you believe that story under the photographer's comments about how Black Butte came into being? It's an old tale out here. Oh well, no matter. I had never seen it's perfect cone covered by snow before. Sigh... |

Fog on Shasta Ballyby sunflowerComment by sunflower: Our family has done most of our hiking at Whiskeytown National Recreational Area. Any time of year, this seems to be the most peaceful of the lakes near our home, with Shasta Bally towering overhead in her glorious mist. It is here that our children have followed in the footsteps of my husband and I, bringing their cameras and appreciating the natural beauty we have been so fortunate to share. |

The Valley from Mt. Shastaby sunflowerComment by sunflower: Seeing Mount Shasta from the valley floor is exciting enough, but seeing the valley from about 6,000 feet up the mountain literally takes your breath away. The air was crisp and extremely cold, even in direct sunlight this April. I felt as if every cell in my body was vibrating. |
