Poor lighting. Could've been composed better. Subject matter too cliche(third beanie baby I've seen so far) and "cutsie". I'm left thinking that more effort could've gone into this shot.

As an afterthought....the tree branches seem to represent a small portion of life watching, waiting helplessly while it observes the tradgedy at hand. It is a necessary element to this photo. You can almost feel the intense heat from the flames. This is a great picture with a statement. Good work Rick! Well deserved ribbon!

that's a heavy feather. this could use some levels adjustments to make the feather stand out more from the background.
