Nice idea for the challenge. The light (sun) is very bright and hard to control for shooting. Is made more difficult with the light sand and the water reflections.

Great idea, instantly recognizable to most Americans I imagine. Seems washed out a bit, could use some more contrast, and might be better if the sides of the letters were parallel to the sides.

This says 'remembrance' more than 'freedom' to me. I think the contrasts could be enhanced a bit.
