I notice that you shot this at 5.6. With sports shots, particularly those featuring a single athlete, always shoot wide open (at 1.7. in this case) This will help to separate the subject from the background. Also, get closer if you can.

He looks like he is really concentrating on getting the shot! I like the motion blur of the ball bouncing next to him too. You may want to consider running this through some noise reduction software, especially in the darker shadow areas (like the door behind him). Overall, good shot.

Nice action capture, and the focus is really sharp on the subjects. You could maybe crop a little off the top to get rid of some distracting elements, but other than that, well done.
