Wonder if using gradient map might not work better with this? Or hitting the color version with a selective color layer and playing with that pink area before converting? I do like the pose.

This is a fun abstract. I could see this hanging on a wall somewhere. :) The clear black area in the center tells me that the surrounding area really has that grainy look...not something done in PP.

Great eye to see this and then capture it in an interesting way! :)

I'm glad you mention the pink hair in your notes...that was the first thing that jumped out at me. :P

I like the composition. Honestly, I'm having a difficult time finding a place to settle in with the photo overall. The ornaments on her lip are a natural place for the attention to shift, but it's quite soft and doesn't hold me for long.

Perhaps I'm missing something, or this monitor at work is not appropriately setup to give this image due justice?

There is certainly a soft, dreamy look to this photograph. If that was your intention it works fine in that context.

I am the person who gave this entry a 10. I believe the image is well constructed, interesting, has great artistic qualities and fits the challenge criteria well. It also really looks great!
