I do like the diagonals formed by the top of the silos. Not sure how much this would have impacted the final composition, but the bands in the lower right are distracting a little...bringing my eye to that corner.
The halos that you mention add to the image in this scenario IMO by keeping the silos from merging into the sky too much. Gives a nice separation.
In admiring the tones of this photo I noticed the range includes the bright lower left. That would get lost if you cropped to exclude the bands I mentioned, so nevermind that comment. :)
Anyway...nicely done! |

day5by PuckzzzComment by violinist123: You could get the same look just with some dodging on those tanks if you don't like the halo. I like this quite a bit. The way the tones wrap around the silos and the overall cold, mechanical feel of the scene. |
