Gorgeous scene!! At first I thought there were artifacts in the sky but then I realized that was snow on mountains.....wow! We don't have mountains around here like that, I envy you.

I love the part about the batteries - I've been there a few times too...

I really don't have to tell you that this is a superb photograph - the voters already did that by it ending up in 25th place, in a HUGE challenge - that is a statement all on it's own. If a stunning example of a photograph being all about composition AND lighting, well this is, without a doubt, one that should be a benchmark.

Congrats on a great finish David. You choice was perfect.
