I think you said this was shot with ambient light coming through window. You simply need to turn her head more to the light or come in at a different angle (you closer to the window.) This will bring detail into the other side of the face and make it easier for you to focus at the shutter speed you chose. You also want to make yor focus point at her eyes.

I think that this is a well done image overall. I dislike the crumb on the bottom of the bucket, and the background seems to change from pink, to green, to brown wood. If you could have shot it at an angle that would have stopped you from seeing the green it might have looked even better. 8

oooooooh this is interesting, to be hones tho from the thumbnail I didn't even thought of clicking on it...glad I decided to now... I think its a great scene captured, composition is lovely! It's a great silhouette altho I'm not sure how you got some of the sea to turn black like that, thats the only lil fault for me but I enjoyed this image
