I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: Oh, I really, really like this. It pushes all my gas-mask buttons. The coloration, the cloud, the vignette, the tone mapping, the light - all perfectly captured and presented.

Critical stuff: Noting at all.

Overall: I really wish this was mine! I feel embarrassed about my entry. 10 and a fav.

I really like this. Totally unconventional figure and the perfect use of the cloud bank behind for a weird "day after" effect. The vignetting in the top half of the frame is perhaps a bit overdone and looks slightly artificial, but otherwise a very nice image.
