roadsideby tnunComment by The_Dentist: Very good tones, especially the grays in the back contrasted with the black trees, but the image feels somewhat empty. I think it's because of the asphalt in the foreground. |

roadsideby tnunComment by MaryO: Not quite sure what to make of this ... what it was that you wanted to show me. Personally, I find the shot more intriguing if the big trees are cropped out from the leaves up, which also breaks the road, water and sky/mountains into more of a rule of thirds layout. Then it makes me start imaging a Loch Ness monster out there in the foggy lake. |

And why not, everyone else is taking pictures from the front, it's about time someone shows us what the back of the flower look like. One thing I started doing lately when photographing flowers is placing a piece of black paper in the background. I find that it eliminates any distractions such as the leaves on the right. It also helps the flower stand out brightly. |
