"and Mom says..."by tnunComment by MelonMusketeer: You almost got it. This is one of the situations where a DSLR has the flexibility to allow you to focus on the subject that you want, or to select the area of the image to focus on in the viewfinder. The camera focused on the little branch in the foreground in this shot.
Like you said, not the best photo, but it is a nice snapshot to share what's going on around your home.

robin in birch treeby tnunComment by trevytrev: I recognize the Robin so well that I don't even need to see it in color, I know right away. Interesting choice of b&w, almost looks like IR. |

robin in birch treeby tnunComment by tnun: Didn't do anything beyond Basic Ed. I've wondered if that is a break in the leaves or an effect of the Irfanview USM. |

robin in birch treeby tnunComment by Prism: REally like the composition here. Great detail on the feathers. I see a slight glow around the beak. Was that one of your tweaks to add definition to it? |

which way?by tnunComment by Jedusi: Anyone that can work the phrase 'cognitive dissonance ' into a photo gets a comment from me :- )
I do have to agree with you though - for a species that regularly travels thousands of miles, they do look wonderfully lost . . |

which way?by tnunComment by MaryO: LOL great shot and title; you certainly did convey a sense of confusion and disorder. |

robin in birch treeby tnunComment by MaryO: Really, really nice in greyscale. Very nice light and composition, and he stands out perfectly. He looks a bit contemplative in his little bower. |
