I love how the dog pops out of the picture. The blurred road gives a sense of movement, which makes the bright dog stand out even more for me. I think it's a thought provoking shot with the title you gave it.

I really love the shadows on the horse. But with advanced editing I would have blurred the background foliage. There's a lot of details in those areas that compete with the beauty of the animal.

The border is not too bad, it's probably just the color. You did a great job of capturing the whites - i can still see the details and textures of the petals. The only thing I'd want to see different is to have the unopened petals moved away from the flower that is already blooming. My preference is to see the entire flower since it seems to be the highlight of the pic.

The negative treatment does a nice job of bringing out the open mouth and eyes. It also makes the fur look different which is good too. I like the punny title too. It just isn't what's in vogue at DPC at the moment, by the comments and votes. That's ok. I still like it.
I think that it may be because it reminds me of many hours at the enlarger looking at negative images on the easel and thinking about what to dodge and what to burn.

I like the exposure and processing, and it's a great composition. The border's too strong though. Until I covered it, I didn't even notice that the stem was also in color.

I love the picture but I feel like the border takes away from it. I think the little bit of color in the photo would be better emphasized without the border.
