This is one of the few shots that I have seen where a utility pole line adds a lot to the shot by becoming a leading line to the bright little area down the road. The major element of fog gives this a nice feel of depth and mystery about what's coming up the hill.

they are pretty aren't they...only one comment I wish you had a sharper focus/detail (USM) on the feathers...otherwise an excellent picture

Hmmm... Something bothers me about the composition, but I can't really put my finger on it. The first thing that comes up is the lighting, that leads the attention to the wing of the swan, wich is not the most interesting part imo. The focus should be on the heads, and they're too dark. Also the positioning of the swans (the relation between the two) doesn't tell much of a story. Therefore the back swan doesn't add much interest to the whole.

In my personal opinion, low key swans wouldn't work as well as high key swans, though I'm sure your choice was forced by shooting conditions. 5
