Striking image! fine tuned processing. I have the impression of seeing a movie still. The character̢۪s intense expression leeds me to wonder what it̢۪s all about (your tittle did not help me much); that̢۪s where the really shallow DOF gets in the way. Besides a ceiling, a light, perhaps a ventilator, the clues are rather scarce. A very good shot nevertheless.

Interesting, but under par in some photographic elements:
- I would have went with B&W. The colors do not add to the story and the background is full of blue-purple haze. If not full B&W at least eliminate the distracting colors at the back.
- The tree is, to me, based on the composition, the major element in the shot, not the oil pump. It's taking over the attention due to the placement and the size. Furthermore, there is no separation between the pump and the tree.

Not a bad shot, but I might have liked it better at a different time of day. It appears to be with the sun high in the sky. Lower in the sky with longer shadows could have made a difference here. JMO :)

I don't really enjoy this too much, and I wasn't sure why. As I looked at it, this seems very out of balance. The white balance is off, the subject balance is off, etc.
