Nice shot! This one is great, I like teh black and white, I like the framing, I like the blown out sky. Not sure about the vigenetting (spelling?) around the outside, it doesn't bother me though, just not sure about the source or legality. Either way it gets a high vote from me... Great job!

This is a lovely study. It actually looks very strong when cropped right and top (losing the ear and top of head to just above the window frame). It helps to make the eye focus on his expression rather than the distraction of the items in the background. Try looking at the areas that would be cropped out in isolation - they're not very interesting or helpful to the composition.
