Day 7: The Spiderby jasonlpriceComment by violinist123: Crazy detail work on the spider. This is a really good bug shot and the subject works exceedingly well in b/w. I think, by design or error, you actually got a really good dof here. Good detail in the web but under the main subject it goes blurry and doesn't distract the eye. Very nice. |

Let me clarify, it is the pattern of the web I didn't like...It is a chaotic web and I wanted a calm web :) LOL. I like the detail. Thanks for the great comment (and thanks to everyone commenting like crazy in this side challenge!)
Edit to add I just went and checked out hajeka's spider and that is the kinda of pattern I wanted. It really draws your eye in torward the subject. I guess I can't change my model's behavior though LOL. Message edited by author 2007-09-07 10:41:06. |

Day 7: The Spiderby jasonlpriceComment by glad2badad: Sharp. Very nice detail on the spider. I like the bokeh personally.
Not sure how you could get more detail in the web. The spider and the web are at an angle with the web fading/angling away. You'd have to use a much deeper aperture to get the detail, but then the background would be distracting I think.
Hope your next visit goes well with "her". :) |
