This looks so smooth compared to all the rest of the trees you posted today. The grayish-greens are incredible. This tree is a bit subtle in its textural palate but no less impressive then the others.

Where's the beach? I know, I know, this is the bark of the amazing beech tree. I used to love seeing the massive copper beech trees in Westchester County in NY when I lived in the area. This is a lovely texture with so many varied colors with small and large cracked areas.
