Week 17 B: Coraleeby jasonlpriceComment by Melethia: I very much like the natural framing here - and the rather inquisitive look of the young one. The reaching hand is a very nice touch as well. |

Week 17: Cousinsby jasonlpriceComment by Melethia: This is very nice - your choice of the diagonal creates a nice non-static balance to show off the new little one and her admirers. |

Week 16: State Record Cypressby jasonlpriceComment by Melethia: That's one bear of a tree! Not sure what your conditions were for this shot, but it could do with a bit more separation from it's environment if possible. I strongly suspect that's not possible, though. I'd imagine everything there is pretty much the same color and blends together, yes? Also, there seems to be a good deal of artifacting/blocking going on, particularly in the upper limbs of the tree. Not sure if this is post processing or an uploading glitch. |

Week 15 C: Transmission Linesby jasonlpriceComment by Melethia: My choice of your Week 15 options - I really like the starkness of this, the strength of the lines. (It looks like a bit of cloning in the lower left that if you were to do something else with this shot you'd want to smooth over just a bit.) |

Day 6: Barbedby jasonlpriceComment by Ken: At first this just seems like a simple of barbed wire, and yet it's a fascinating study of lines and pattern; there's a lot of stuff going on here. My eye is immediately drawn to the angled wire, then down, then across the wire on the bottom. Then I go back up and explore the slightly out of focus grass and just love how the curved grass leads into the sun. Great job. |
