The white background is a little creepy and is also creating strange border effects. The composition is mostly good but there's something about the square or not-quite-square shape that doesn't appeal to me. It looks like a fat square.

Not sure I like the positioning, mum's back seems to be too much in the shot. I'd like to have seen the kid's face in the middle more, with more of the mum's head in shot; not being able to see her arms kinda makes the title not work. The shot itself is really nice though, the b&w looks good and the kid's expression is sweet.
