The sense of enclosure matches my guess of what the secret garden is like (to be honest, I haven't read it). The lighting on the child is lovely. I like how ethereal he is in the window... through or reflected? not sure. I think, reflected, and there is some kind of field behind him?

The framing of the window is a bit awkward, so the only thing that struck me at first was the subtle reflection of the child. But on further looking, this awkward enclosure creates a story. 7

I don't know how this relates to the book. I like the reflection of the little boy in the dark room, and I don't know if you could have shot this at a different angle, but the composition seems a little off to me. I do like the B&W conversions too.
