"Birds"by TJinGuyComment by TJinGuy: Thanks for all the positive comments. I entered this because I thought it was interesting and was curious if anyone would see that it was in fact sharpened noise that gives it this look. I did not expect it to do well, but just felt it was something that would be appreciated by a few, and it seems that it was. |

"Birds"by TJinGuyComment by tanguera: I am so in love with this image. The little birds all facing left. The eagle facing right. The blur and poetry, all set against the Belt of Venus. |

"Birds"by TJinGuyComment by tnun: Sometimes the camera knows better and is completely happy with its apparent limitations! Love the happening here. |

"Birds"by TJinGuyComment by MaryO: Is the Eagle telling the rest of them to buzz off? If those are crows they may tell him "no!" Or maybe they did, and he's preparing to take off and let them have the stupid tree ;-) |

"Birds"by TJinGuyComment by posthumous: so beautiful, so unphotographic. I could imagine someone painting this and saying, "see why I don't use a camera?"

"Birds"by TJinGuyComment by Paul: I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: This has the quality of watercolour on parchment (I think that is interesting). Looking at the quality of the rendition, it is easy to overlook the subject matter which is, of course, compelling. I particularly like the way the small birds seem to bleed into the background. I also like your composition / framing which I think is bang-on.
Critical stuff: Nothing really.
Overall: Very nice picture. |
