love this shot .. his expression is priceless ... either he's having a big laugh or he's really hot ... or BOTH!! ... when i see puppies or kittens in the pet shot i feel anxiety for them, thinking that the ppl they end up with could be less than 'ideal' ... its one of my recurrent nightmares that one of those beautiful little souls could end up being mistreated or even abused ... i'm so glad your mate barney has had a wonderful life with you and i'm hoping that when his time with you ends you might eventually find another little 'barney' to take into your heart ... in the dreams challenge i entered a photograph of our dog coz it really is one of my dreams to be my dog ... our dogs have the best life ... and its just so obvious that barney has the best life ever ..
you said you'd like a tutorial ... i did a sort'v workflow explanation for jon on my bee composite if you'd like me to send it to you ?? and i could do it for the wattle if you'd prefer ... you've gotta promise me that you'd use it tho, coz it takes quite a lot of time writing that sort'v thing out & trying to put the actions i do into plain english ... a very difficult enterprise !!!!!!!!! .... but ... i am VERY HAPPY to do it for you .. :)... that's because you totally love dogs !!!! .. jon slipped thru the cracks .. if i'd known he wasnt as into dogs as us there's NO WAY i'd'v gone to such trouble for him ... lol lol LOL !!! :):):)

Congrats on you for taking the shot (I am rubbish at doing that, and I always assume my self consiousness is an indicator that I am not really a proper photographer)

My own thought is that its a good enough candid that Brian would probably be thrilled to have a copy and if when you gave it to him you explained that you wanted to take the photograph because he is so much of your home town community then rather than feeling upset about the incident he would feel happy and honoured to be recognised as such. He's probably never ever let you go past him again without trying to start a conversation but its gotta be worth it

OK at the risk of you hating me I have to be honest and say that I am not a huge fan of beagles (I guess it may be the assoication with fox hunting), but you have produced some wonderful shots of them that could have me changing my mind in the B&W challenge was just amazing and surreal, and I have to say this is also one of those shots that could get me to be a beagle fan. Fantastic expression (you can tell that dog is happy to be going home with his 'mum') and framing and super colours (which work well with the blown out white). Gotta love that tongue too
