SOCATOAby colorcarnivalComment by Charlene: Hmmm... looks like Blue Valley High School did me WRONG! I've never heard of this little "reminder". Still love the idea, and you did a wonderful job getting your subjects in perfect focus. |

SOCATOAby colorcarnivalComment by jonfrommk: I like the dof you created on this shot although I will confess that sines and cosines are all Greek to me
Sorry you are feeling challenge burnout, I guess that fighting through it is a positive step to take
I always maintain that the bottom line is not how a picture scores but how you feel about it and that you enjoyed taking it, the rest is a mere bagatelle |

Half Aliveby colorcarnivalComment by JuliBoc: Michelle, I really like everything about this image: the composition, the light, the focus, the subtle complementary background, and the colors. This is the sort of picture I could hang on my wall and never never get tired of seeing. |

Inspection for Perfectionby colorcarnivalComment by jeger: Nice idea. The person seems to be a secondary subject since he is in the background. I think this photo would be stronger if there was a more prominent primary subject, such as, an apple very close up in the foreground, with the person still in the background. |

Inspection for Perfectionby colorcarnivalComment by J-Me: It would have been a great shot had you posed the apple picker on a higher ladder. That way, you could have lit the subject with a spot light and his face would have been less shaded. I can't see his eyes clearly enough. Perhaps, having him pose so that his head was completely out of the way of the branches would have worked better. And, that's not a Gucci Hoodie. The apple pickers here wear Gucci. Try to make it less candid and more staged next time. BTW....how did you get that apple bush (or is it a tree?) into the studio? And.....the apple just above his head to the right of his head, seems to have a hole in it. I think that there must be a worm in it.
Oh wait, that was a fly on my monitor. It's ok. Changed my vote from a 1 to a 9! Nice image! |
