I Am the Oceanby colorcarnivalComment by bobonacus: blurry yes, not so much chaotic and disorganised, maybe an even slower shutter speed would have made it more so .... does just about meet the challenge. Certainly an interesting and engaging photograph though and I think the desat works well |

So Much More to Exploreby colorcarnivalComment by J-Me: Wonderful shot, Michelle! I feel that the red sign really just adds to this shot. A new front page addition shot for your profile portfolio! Poor little guy......let him out once in awhile, will ya?! *grin* Message edited by author 2008-03-12 22:19:20. |

The Orchard Pathby colorcarnivalComment by colorcarnival: Originally posted by Moose408: ...The color of the apple and the background are too close together. There is no real delineation. I do appreciate the feedback as it always helps to hear what others see ;)
I looked at this description: Take a picture of a colored subject or subjects on the same color background and went with the thought of the subject and background must match as closely as possible. And I think I achieved that. I guess it would be interesting to see how this would have done WITHOUT the beads. Live and learn. :)
Thanks for the honest feedback! |

The Orchard Pathby colorcarnivalComment by Moose408: Since you asked why your color on color did not resonate so well with folks I thought I would share my thoughts.
The color of the apple and the background are too close together. There is no real delineation. Seeing the original RAW conversion I can see that the beads are providing that delineation but it wasn't clear from the submitted photo. Also the background is a little too busy and draws my eye away from the foreground objects.
During voting I gave it a 5. Hope this is helpful. |

No Peekby colorcarnivalComment by posthumous: You are a sculptor, and you have created something truly memorable, something that escaped the confines of what it normally means to be a "photograph."
