Ducky Airbagsby colorcarnivalComment by J-Me: I'd have said that this one missed the correct challenge and should have gone into the Risk challenge......risk of too much joy for that little guy! *grin*
Actually, quite clever! Well shot and really outside of the box thinking! Too bad that others didn't see it the humor in this shot. Should have done really well! Keep on thinking the way that you do. Love it! |

Ominous Oby colorcarnivalComment by bassbone: excellent macro on the pumpkin - the lighting to emphasize the textures of the skin works pretty well - 6 |

Three in a Bucketby colorcarnivalComment by J-Me: Love the colors, love the focus on the number! It really did meet the challenge. I also love the idea that there is action there, rather than a static image of a number so to speak. This was such a rather dull topic for a challenge that it's hard to have gotten an image that would truly excite voters. Overall, I think you did an excellent job!
Edited to add...I love the dust that you captured in there as well! It adds a bit of drama to it!
BUT...$3.00 for a guy to push a swing?! LOL There was nothing renaisance about the pricing, was there? *wink* Message edited by author 2008-09-22 11:31:04. |

Three in a Bucketby colorcarnivalComment by Lydia: I gave this a 6... better than average. I really like the dust movement and the 'story', but wish something else were also in focus with the number. I like to see images that would stand on their own outside of a challenge... and this one really fits the challenge, but wouldn't be so great outside of it. On the one hand, I should not be judging the images this way, because it's a really great talent to shoot "for the customer" which is what you're doing when you're shooting for the challenge. Giving the customer what he wants. A good, fun image.
I'm surprised it didn't do better in the challenge.
The colors are fun, the three is right in the rule of thirds. I dunno... |
