Those eyes really capture your attention, then does that hat. I am loving this edit better than the challenge entry. I do not have a greenish tinge on my monitor (calibrated). Excellent control of the DOF on this shot. He is such a cutie!

Hey Michelle, love this second process...No green tinge on my new, recently calibrated monitor. The skin tones however do seem a little pale. This might be corrected by adjusting the white balance to a slightly warmer setting. I don't think it needs much. I think also what you might be seeing, especially around the chin area is a reflection of colour from your boy's jumper.

Comment by VitaminB:
What a great shot... his eyes are intense. I agree about the green cast... the original photo seemed to have a red cast (though... my monitor is far from being calibrated itself). One way to overcome any of that without calibrating your monitor would be to convert this to black and white.

Comment by Melethia:
Lovely edit!! And no no greenish cast here on either monitor. Your challenge entry had a decided pink tone, but this one looks very natural to me - perhaps just a bit pale if anything on my brighter monitor. Nice natural balance to this composition as well.
