Seed from a Sweet Gum tree. My daughter calls these "Spikey Things" for obvious reasons.

The shot has great contrast and DoF. Couldn't ask for a more interesting shot of a sweet gum seed!

Love the tree - trying to figure out if that's a guy. Doesn't look like a guy shot, though. Tones, clarity, focus on the drop are all beautiful. Voted earlier. Top three.
