Overflowby kebmod54Comment by casualguy: Nicely composed and focused. I wonder what it might have looked like with a tad longer exposure (if possible) to show the water more in motion. |

Act of God?by kebmod54Comment by autool: Emotional picture. I hope he only wanted the church to get a new roof, and no one was injured. 5 |

Act of God?by kebmod54Comment by casualguy: I might have entitled this: "Twist" of Faith (eluding to twister or tornado?). I like the wider/shorter framing of this shot. Not much you could do about the distracting street pole near the right side. Good job throughout. |

Act of God?by kebmod54Comment by albright1: Wait, is this being constructed, or was it damaged? The irony of it being damaged (by an "act of God") is hilarious to me! Great shot! |

Act of God?by kebmod54Comment by macox: now of all the religion related photos I find this the one that makes you really ask questions all the rest seem very hackneyed. too bad there's power poles in front a 7 |

Act of God?by kebmod54Comment by KevinRiggs: This touches on a theme that many people have wrestled with regarding events that are perceived to be malevolent occuring in the community of people that consider themselves beyond such events for whatever reason.
It shows trust by the composer of the image that viewers would have at least encountered this type of question before and, thus, the image gains widespread power to evoke emotions (whether visceral hatred for questioning a seemingly divine act or bemusement at how some people could continue to believe some things when an event like the one in the photo happens).
I could have done with a slightly tighter shot; perhaps losing a little of the sky at the top and the lower building at the left hand side.
Good job with the subject. |

A Single Blossomby kebmod54Comment by dsidwell: I have to confess that I'm colorblind, so the red/green contrast doesn't work on me here as well as it does on others. However, the lines and textures STILL make the flower the central subject, and the photo still works pretty well for me. 8 |
