swall.jpgby sulamkComment by sulamk: Originally posted by glad2badad: Hi Sandy,
I'm curious, and hope you don't mind my asking...did you add grain/noise to this, or was it a result of the ISO choice?
For F6.3 I think the bg bokeh looks good. As for the birds, I love the mirroring of them side by side on similar posts/stumps. :-)
Hope all is well.

It was mostly the iso choice I think, but i might also of used a bit too much usm. I unfortunately didnt notice that the iso was on auto and the camera chose 640 there was also a lot of residual smoke in the air after a lot of big bush fires in our area, not sure if this added to the grain.
all well
thanks

Cape clawless otterby sulamkComment by MelonMusketeer: Otters are definitely the clowns of the animal world. They are so at ease in the water, and funny when they are out of it.
You did good to get this shot of one having lunch. |

yellowbilled egretby sulamkComment by MelonMusketeer: You got this one at a very nice angle. I like that the bird is sharp, and the BG has just enough sharpness to be able to tell what is there without being a big distraction. That's a heavy duty lens that you shot this with. |

Cape clawless otterby sulamkComment by MacDonald: Wow, I never saw an otter eating a fish ... looks like he really means business too .... the ones around here eat clams and muscles and the like. |

Sunrise on the mountainby sulamkComment by ThingFish: Heck this looks like a place in South Africa somewhere....Ive been through there and I think it's somewhere in the Orange Free State close to the Cape Province border if I am not mistaken. But I might be wrong...it's been a long time since I was in that country. Nice shot by the way and I like the processing. Baie mooi. |
