Saltburnby SaraRComment by sherpet: What an amazing 'perspective' in this fine image. It really works a treat for me, and can't stop looking at it.

On the Beachby SaraRComment by JuliBoc: Amazing statement. Such a beautiful photo of such a beautiful place, with such a dreadful industrial blemish. The ominous clouds contrast eerily with the light on the rest of the scene. Message edited by author 2008-08-08 18:28:16. |

The future is bright?by SaraRComment by scalvert: Tsk, tsk... this is miles better than your entry. That was just a factory (yawn), but this is a story. Big difference. Title it "Legacy" and you'd have a 6.5, minimum. ;-) |

Growing Antlersby SaraRComment by Melethia: Probably not what you intended with this, but it makes me laugh. And I so needed a good laugh. Why does it make me laugh? One's mind, if warped, sees this as a field where deer grow. First the antlers sprout, then after a good season of rain and sun, a fully formed deer will bloom. From a technical nitpick aspect, it seems to have a purplish hue to it. And with the vignetting, almost appears as though it's taken through a gunsight. |

No Bicycles, Dogs, Radios, Picnics Allowedby SaraRComment by Melethia: This is my kind of shot. "No bicycles dogs radios or picnics allowed" with a bike against the wall. (And what exactly are bicycles dogs radios? If one inserts a bit of punctuation, it becomes even more fun - bicycle's dog's radios.) Ahem. Where was I? Oh yes - red and purple - awesome combination. This might not have scored in the high 6s, but it certainly would have rated highly with me. (That's not always a good sign by the way.) |

On theBeach #2by SaraRComment by Melethia: This is a stronger and more complex composition than your entry, yet still holds the uniqueness I liked about the entry. The white clouds of steam are echoed by the man's shirt and bag, making him appear just after you see the industrial complex. Then you see the dogs. Do they belong to him? It doesn't appear so. They're there on their own. Finally, the two figures on the left come into play. |
