Comment by Melethia:
I like the composition and the toning, but the processing - probably added blur - almost makes this seem a bit miniaturized and feel just a touch unreal. The shot is well taken.

(Increíble que haya quienes puedan ver calidez en ésta imagen que refleja la miseria y el abandono con tanta crudeza. Ciertamente que semejante indiferencia congelaría al mismo sol)
Incredible that exists those who could see warmth in this image, that reflects misery and abandon with so many crudeness. Certainly that nonchalance would freeze the Sun.
Excellent capture, Alfredo!

Way to take a very cliche shot and change it up. I think you've got a bit too much sky...or not enough. What would happen if you cropped about 1/4 inch of the water? Bringing the composition of the boat down. Then the sky would have more impact. Going the other way, cropping the sky a bit will center the boat more.

The difference here is defining your subject better. If it's the boat, crip the sky; if it's the guy in the bow, crop the water.

Almost looks like a scene from an epic movie.....

Just an awesome image, with great detail, awesome composition, and some great processing as well.....

At first, I wasn't sure about the blue tinting, but the more I look at it, the more I like it. Nice setup and composition. Just enough going on in the sky to make it interesting without taking focus from the boat and the man. One of the top 5 shots in the challenge.
