I like the photo, however the heavy contrast gives it a bit of a grainy look, which makes it difficult for me to make out the vanishing point. A very good, artistic idea, but maybe better for a different challenge.

Hi Peter, I think you've been getting robbed lately. I was one of your 7's, and I might have bumped it up had I gone back. I think this has a message, excellent DOF, and excellent composition. I suspect you got hurt by the very slightly blown areas on the sand - people are technical sticklers with this type of competition. Still think you got robbed on an excellent entry!

Don't know why I've just seen this for the first time but I'll say that this is my favorite image in this challenge. It's one of the few where the grain adds so much to an already wonderful capture.
