A bittersweet photo. Good choice of dolll (if indeed it is a prop), it looks as old as the shack (although not as worn out). Come to think of it, maybe a tattered, dirty doll would fit the surroundings more.

Peter, I meant to comment on this shot during the challenge but with the new job I am afraid my DPC time has been somewhat restricted. I thought this was a super portrait (and of course I did recognise you straight away). Great expression too.

Your doing a great job with your new lighting rig as well love the way your face is framed to the left and right by blackness, very effective, especially as your hair and sweater provide top/bottom framing as well

As ever sharpness, colour and dof are spot on. Super shot

Well, Peter, we were almost right next to each other in the finish, but your entry was much, much stronger than mine. It is very well lit and has the correct color balance (you were right about mine - it was an orange accident that I tried and couldn't quite correct). Very nice work!

Hey Peter.Great composition/postioning on this shot. I like the color and detail that you have presented in the flesh tones. Very good control on the lighting, I like the darkness of the background and the slight hint of detail in the sweater. I bet it would have been 6+ if it wernt for the white undershirt showing at the collar. Picky DPC voters.

Great idea, but the doll is too new and in good condition. Is a bad contrast with the house ruin.
