So this is 2 blocks from your house, huh? Nice neighborhood you live in :-) I used to hang out up there a LOT, 'cuz first my son was into the velodrome thing, and then he got interested in playing golf with me and we played at balboa a couple times a week, and his HS team played there as well. But we lived on Point Loma, down in Portuguese town near the docks.

What makes this shot for me is that it seems so real and 3 dimensional, I feel like I can reach right through the screen and touch it. Lighting really highlights the spikes well and of course the dew just makes it sparkle.

I like the greens and diagonal cause by the fern. The undersides of the other leaves give some nice contrast and balance to those in the foreground.
