In and Around Balboa Park Week 5 - Orchidby AnnComment by ursula: Beautiful pinks, framed around the edges with the greens! I think what throws me off the most about the picture is that the orchid is not "looking at you"; it is sorta turning away, and to me, that works against the flow of the image. I like where you focused though, and I also like the DOF you used. |

In and around Balboa Park Week 3 - Morning Sunby AnnComment by Kroburg: Great image, I like the rocky foreground, the beautiful light, the composition of the animals and the background bokeh. And I'm really wondering: what are they talking about?
I do love this images where animals of a different breed seems to communicate. I once had a same experience and managed to take a pic of that interaction (hope you don't mind posting it):

In and Around Balboa Park week 4 - Aloha Portraitby AnnComment by Kroburg: It's those eyes and the way they look at you that makes dogs so special. They show their affection in a way you can't resist and I think you captured that look beautifully in this image. With the perfect focus on the eyes and the shallow DOF you even emphasized that feeling of friendship and affection even more. Great image! |

In and Around Balboa Park Week 6 - Allexby AnnComment by bsluijk: Beautiful lens for a portrait, and well focused. Can't be more than few mm DoF, but is exatcly where it needs to be and works beautfully to focus the attention to the eyes, to bring the rest of tha face and hands together yet to separate the background, also helped by the different color. |
