Because this shot is so perfect from the standpoint of lighting, color, focus, I am rating it fairly high. However, for me, the composition is definitely lacking. With this subject, there are just so many ways to have a dynamic, interesting and unexpected composition that this plain, dead center, head on composition leaves me disappointed.

nice and simple. good placement of the subject, i like the white space. the lighting is nice and even except for a touch of overexposure on the top inside rim.

It's a nice cup. It's a nice saucer. Apart from the highlight at the top middle of the rim, It's a nice capture of the nice cup and nice saucer. Sorry - as a photo, it's a bit dull for me. 3

My first thought was "Wow what beautiful lighting!". But then.....wait........dodging/burning?.........I say that because there appears to be some floating shadows. Anyway, this pictures is fantastic and it will get high marks from me.
