Seaweeds on the beachby whiterookComment by EL-ROI: Great use of lines and pattern to create an interesting composition. I think if you would have re-framed to crop out the sky, you would have gotten a more minimalistic approach to the landscape. Did you try that?? I just think the sky adds a thick horizontal band to all your vertical lines which really takes away from the composition. |

Top is missingby whiterookComment by Revecca: Maybe I'm dumb, but I don't get the title? Image is good overall, but washed out a bit and could use some sharpness. |

Paintingby whiterookComment by dtremain: You don't pick easy shots, do you? With a bright (for a camera) light bulb top center, the lighting is challenging at best. Nice focus / composition. I love the unexpectedness of a framed painting in the fridge (cold art?)! |

Watching the fog and wave breakingby whiterookComment by blindjustice: I want to like this shot a great deal, I mean I like it but I want to like It more- maybe its the painter in me wanting to improve on the scene, the colors, the values, the composition. I think the strong points are the misty fog, the light on the water, the blue colors in the dark side of the shot to the right, the hopeful feel of the sky. Unfortunately this is lost in the crop of the photo, the digital feel of the sky, and the awkward unbalance of the values left to right.
Sorry for the criticism, just trying to be constructive. |

Watching the fog and wave breakingby whiterookComment by chinajoe: Read the contest description.
Capture objects in the air. Use a fast shutter speed to capture objects off-the-ground in an unusual way. Through your camera, photograph the world in suspended animation unlike you normally would.
This doesn't meet the contest criteria. Completely ordinary. |
