Sorry, but this just seems like a snapshot. A typical human perspective with some shoehorned Happy Birthday balloons to get the point across all too obviously.

There are so many opportunities out in the world to say this better...nativity scenes, a praying man at church near a poinsettia or something.

I'm just trying to be constructive for you. If this is what you really wanted to enter, then that is perfectly fine.

A nice coastal type scene. Though the flag pole is metal, it is shot in a way that does not make that fact stand out as the purpose of the shot. As far as the B&W, it is lacking in tonal range consisting mostly of mid tones. The halo-ing also suggests over sharpening was performed.

a great lighthouse - not a fan of the method of conversion to black and white and the obvious dodging around the flags. we can see where you 'missed' and created a halo around them

The composition is too helter skelter. No obvious subject, just too much stuff to look at. Each element in the photo could be interesting in and of itself, but all the different elements at once equal a cluttered shot.
