I like the water a lot, but the rocks and the sky seem a little flat. I'm curious what it would look like with a bit more contrast in the rocks. Also, your horizon is tilted.

I do like the diagonal slash that the rocks make in the composition.

Overall, nice picture, but it doesn't really evoke anything as is, and it's hard when I can't find the novel. -5-

I gave this shot a 5. I like the coloration. The perspective at board level is nice. I'm not fond of the extra foreground or grain.

It is a neat building. There was a lot of distraction on the right side of the photo that drew my eye away from the Kayaks.
