Donovanby ShannonComment by tolovemoon: I havent seen this one in awhile I put it my favorites almost a year a go . I thought of it today as I took a photo of my cat and photoshoped it a wild silouette. I had to come find this one and make sure I was keeping mine original not that yours is not cause it is very original and spectacular at that! This photo of yours must of stayed in my memory as an insparation. If you havent been told yet this is an awesome photo:) Message edited by author 2005-01-16 16:05:10. |

Burnt Budweiserby ShannonComment by Neil: Interesting still life, well done. Perhaps some of the areas are just a bit on the bright/hot side (stick in foreground for example). |

Golf Bridgeby ShannonComment by Neil: A good composition; I think this would be a good one to visit on a cloudy day where the exposure can be better controlled as well as having a more interesting sky. |

No Huntingby ShannonComment by Neil: A good shot; I would suggest straightening it so the pole is vertical and the horizon is level. |

Cancer Charmby ShannonComment by nephrotic: Yep - Excellent composition - The best use of negative space I have seen used for a long time. I am wondering if a highlight on the top end of the claw would have worked. I have put one on in photoshop to see and I think it does - without detracting from all the low-key.
It may be possible to have done it "in-camera" though not easily

Home on the Rangeby ShannonComment by TooCool: From the Critique Club
Shannon, this is an awesome picture! I love the 3 dimensional feeling here. There is a definate sense of depth. The neutral color scheme works very well also. The earthy tones of the soil and grasses go well with the tones of the animal itself.
Under ideal circumstances, there are a couple of things that might have made this shot even more potent. This includes framing the shot so the animal is looking into the frame instead of out of it. I would LOVE to see more detail in the animals fur especially in the face areas. None of these things really detracts from the shot, but would maybe add to it...
Great work,
