*laugh* This is VERY VERY VERY clever. It takes a rare mind to grasp that animals frying themselves actually benefits someone. I also appreciate the different meaning of perspective as a mental model of the world, as opposed to a literal physical viewpoint. I tried to incorporate that into my entry, too.

As a photo, the composition feels a little off. Not quite sure why. I think I expect the hawk to be facing into the frame instead of out of it. But I can imagine you didn't have much time to take this shot! Just something to think about when shooting in the future.

Yuck! That's for the bird guts part, not the picture. I actually do like the picture. I take the perspective part as not your perspective looking up at the bird, but the bird looking down at you. Kinda like "Hey, I'm eating here. Do you mind?" Really good clarity for a big crop. I like the stray feathers over on the one side. Poor other bird...

Subtle, but everything depends on perspective in this shot. Such great off-balance energy to it. 8

pretty composition but having the sand crisply in focus would have helped I think.

This definitely feels like a touristy postcard. :) I think it lacks some "pop," and I'm not sure what to suggest. Either way, though, a fine entry.

Yeah Team Novice! Way to go!! I gave this a 10 and didn't even know it was one of ours. Good work.

P.S. I like the way you have the sand showing though the text and border. I didn't notice that before I read your comment. The only suggestion I have is to modify the envelope for the text distortion. I'd like to see the exterior edge (bottom of Charleston, and top of Crabby) straight and parallel to the edge of the card. I like the interior edge curving around the oval window.
