Yowee! this is beautiful. Never seen any barns that color, but what difference does that make. Perhaps that IS what makes the difference -- between ART and a nice landscape photo.

Catherine, you're adorable with your eyelashes and lipstick, and you're quite the actress. Really, this was a great idea, and is such a fun photo. BTW, I like the "harsh direct lighting". It is appropriate to the scene -- someone reading in bed.

ahhhh white balance!! .. i usually do that in my RAW program .. think now is the time to do it in camera!!! ... you've used your camera so well for this shot .. the details are excellent .. your deer was a stunner as well....
