Good decision on cropping - I like it as it is, too. I'm not entirely sure about the lighting effect. I like this version but I also like the "realness" of your straight from the camera version, too. Really like the eyes on this one, though. Sweet look!

I didn't score this well, because I'm really not a fan of extreme shallow DOF. However, you achieved your objective very well, and I see by the comments that many people like the effect.

Delightful editing of a strong starting image. I might have cropped in just a bit (left and right both evenly, I think), with the idea of giving more emphasis to the eyes (but maybe you tried that and it didn't work)
